These rims are a great choice for a STRIDSLAND Beachcomber and some WTB Ranger 26 x 2.8 tires, but they’re also sick for your retro MTB if you’re running disc brakes and can clear at least a 2.2″ tire. They do a great job of spreading a tire out nice and plump, adding stability and allowing for lower pressures.
